Sikh groups clash with swords at India’s Golden Temple – BBC News

Sikh groups wielding ceremonial swords have clashed in the Golden Temple in Amritsar in northern India. Several people were injured as rival factions fought after the leader of one Sikh group was reportedly prevented from speaking.

It is believed at least three people were taken to hospital with injuries. Special prayers were being held at the temple, Sikhism’s holiest shrine, to mark the deadly military offensive there in 1984.
Zubair Ahmed reports from Delhi.
