Reusable rocket blasts off and returns to earth – BBC News

We’ve all seen rockets blast off – but what about one that returns to earth?

California’s SpaceX, founded by entrepreneur Elon Musk, recently took their reusable Falcon 9 rocket on a 1,000 metre test flight in rural Texas and provided the BBC with this footage of its launch and gentle return to earth.

BBC’s Kate Dailey reports from Washington.

Footage is owned by and provided to BBC News by SpaceX.
