London’s black cab drivers are up in arms, but why? BBC News

Drivers of London’s iconic black taxis are planning to cause a gridlock in the city to protest against the car service Uber. They say the company, which allows users to summon a ride through their smartphones, should be regulated by the same rules as the black-cabs. Transport for London, which has licensed Uber, is looking to secure a high court ruling on the legality of the American firm’s app. BBC’s Dougal Shaw hit the streets of London to hear the views of taxi drivers.
