Bryony Hopkins , who was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease at the age of 4, discusses her condition and the ongoing research. Recent figures uncovered by Radio One’s Newsbeat show a significant increase in the amount of young people admitted into hospital with the digestive condition, Crohn’s Disease. Dr Sally Mitton from St George’s Hospital says, “We know that there are many genes that predispose someone to get Crohn’s disease. But we also know that lifestyle factors like eating a lot of junk food or taking many courses of antibiotics may make it more likely to happen.”
