Capoeira lessons for the children of DR Congo – BBC News

Impoverished children of the Democratic Republic of Congo are taking lessons in capoeira – a mix of martial arts and dance associated with Brazil. Dance teacher Yannick N’salambo Walters hopes that by giving free lessons in the discipline, he can offer the children hope and a temporary family. In Kinshasa, the capital of DR Congo, tens of thousands of children beg on the streets each day. Yannick has been speaking to the BBC’s Maud Jullien.
